I am THE Regular Hooper. Like the most regular. The most average. The 50th percentile.
I’m average height, average weight, and ~hopefully~ average attractiveness. When I say I’m regular, I really mean that.
If I beat you 1v1 then you’re below average.
But if you win, then you’re above average.
Sometimes I wonder why I suck at basketball relative to the amount of time I’ve dedicated to the game.
But rather than wonder, I’ll stick with blaming my parents for making me play the viola for 8 years instead.

Regardless of the reason, this topic got me thinking about work-life balance—which has been a priority since I committed to Regular Hoops.
DITL, OOTD, GRWM, TIDN, MKDY
People seem to like watching “day in the life videos (DITL),” “outfit of the day (OOTD),” and “get ready with me (GRWM)” videos.
So here is my DITL.

Okay that’s enough, back to your regularly scheduled program.
Like every human, we all have things to do… a lot of things.
In my case, I work a corporate job, run a media company, create content weekly (like this blog!), workout 3-5x/week, and more.
But there are only so many hours in the day, and I gotta be a regular guy sometimes.
As of late, here’s how I spend my time on the weekdays:
7am - wake up and doomscroll Instagram
8am - head to my corporate job
9am - start adding shareholder value
12pm - go to the gym
1pm - inject more shareholder value
5pm - leave the office
6pm - figure out what to do for the next 6 hours
12am - doomscroll and fall asleep
You might be wondering when I eat… I don’t.
I get my daily nutrients by watching food content from The Golden Balance.
Very nutritious. Highly recommend.
As much as I like to think I’ve used those 6 hours from 6pm-12am effectively, I feel like I could be more disciplined with my time.
So recently, I’ve developed a new mindset to make the most of this valuable time.
And I gave this mindset a cool name.

Writing a LinkedIn post
Filming a video
Editing a video
Hanging out with friends
Playing basketball
I’m basically trying to avoid the possibility of doomscrolling social media.
That should only happen at 12am lol.
Kobe might be disappointed, but slow motion is better than no motion.
