A new chapter for this blog + my first ever hate comment

“I’m back”

These two words were faxed by Michael Jordan when he returned to the Chicago Bulls.

And now they’ve been used by me to share that Daniel’s Due Diligence has returned.

Same level of significance…

I’m just waiting for my ESPN segment to air.

But that probably won’t happen.

So instead I’ll be unapologetically myself like my OG, George Papoutsis, and yell..

“I’M HERE”

Trigger warning: these new blogs (starting Sept’24) will contain a lot of satire and should not be taken at face value. 

Expect to see typos, wordy/repetitive sentences, passive voice, and anything else you’d expect from a “D-” graded high school assignment.

Because that’s what I am according to my first ever hate comment from when I was a sports writer in 2018.

So why am I writing blogs again?

I took my old blogs so seriously and treated them as investor updates. I would spend way too much time editing and revising them that it made the writing process unenjoyable.

But I love writing. I love reflecting on my feelings. I love crystallizing my thoughts.

So this time, I’m writing with less self-imposed pressure, and more ~personality~ since that’s what the cool kids are doing I think.

I’ve always felt misunderstood as a serious guy because my personality does not reflect that of a traditional extrovert. It takes me a while to warm up to people, especially when there’s no immediate mutual interests.

But I think I’m a regular guy that likes to have fun. And I feel like that comes across in my writing.

You’ll still be getting the inside scoop on Regular Hoops. But now you’ll know my feelings & thoughts on the journey—not just the filtered highlights.
